Codyfight keeps expanding and growing throughout 2022. There has been a lot of work and development in different areas of the game, including UI design, gameplay, and widget.
In this article, we’ll explore what have been the biggest advances of the game in Q1 and Q2 of 2022 and what will be next for our gaming project.
Refine and brand new assets
Our team of developers has been focusing on creating an immersive website for different types of users, from developers to regular players. The goal is to make an efficient game that can be easy to understand from the first interaction with the player.
Frontend development
Codyfight’s website has been polished and refined to create the best user experience for Codyfight players. The priority of the team is to achieve not only a user-friendly product but also one that can be visually enjoyable as well as dynamic.
- Landing page and inner pages: The incorporation of a new professional designer into the team has shaped the aesthetics of Codyfight’s pages as well as providing an easier way to navigate within the website.
- Rebuilt the old Vue.js website using React: A huge rebuilding project has been applied in different areas to unify technology stacks across Codyfight. The project included revamping and reusing some of the assets to have a polished website, backend, gateway, socket, game widget, etc. essentially a re-shape of the coding process to develop a more functional mechanism of the game.
Game development:
As the website and other areas develop, the gameplay and game aesthetics are shaped to fulfill the standards of users. Codyfight should be a memorable experience for gamers and therefore, the widget needs to be engaging for any user that wants to play the game.
- Game Widget 2.0 with pixi.js and React UI: A new widget has been built with higher standards in graphics as well as more efficient for users. The game will become more intuitive and easier to navigate.
- Game Widget 2.0 UI: A new UI has been designed and introduced in the game. The development of this area has a clear goal in mind: make Codyfight an interactive and enjoyable experience. Therefore, the interface has been built to be intuitive as well as easy to use on different devices like computers or phones. Players can either play with a keyboard or through touch controls.
- Dynamic map loader: The balance of Codyfight has been improved with different map layouts that randomize tiles as well as spawn players and exit positions, creating an entertaining game for users.
Blockchain:
Codyfight is part of the GameFi industry, therefore, developers focus on constantly updating its blockchain to provide users with smart tools inside and outside the game.
- NFT metadata api implemented: Codyfighters will be equipped with a brand new service that provides them with different technical data like statistics, skills, appearance, etc to implement a dynamic way to process information and enjoy the different Codyfighters assets.
- CTickets & CTickets dispenser smart contract: CTicket purchases through CTOK will be handled through smart contracts for different Arenas.
Game design:
Codyfight’s game design has been evolving throughout the first two quarters of 2022 at an astonishing speed. As Alpha approaches, the different gameplay assets have been implemented and tested, assuring that players’ will have a good experience playing, as well as enjoy the usability of the game.
- Codyfighters classes introduced: The creative department along with developers have introduced unique skills for our Codyfighters that completely shift the way gamers can play in the Arena. Now users can choose Codyfighters based on functionality and aesthetics, creating unique characters that essentially project a gamer’s identity into their gameplay experience.
- Map variations: As a core value of Codyfight’s Arena, maps have been re-shaped to provide the perfect match of enjoyment and usability. Players will be surprised by the dynamism of the tiles and use their skills to successfully adapt to the challenges of the battle.

The next quarter of 2022 is crucial for Codyfight, as the launch of Alpha approaches and many changes will take place to assure the quality of the gameplay. The different departments are implementing a common strategy for the evolution of the project in different areas, which include UI design, redesign of the website, tournaments within the community, and many other campaigns.
