About Codyfight

Codyfight is a blockchain-based Ai vs human competition metaverse that challenges different players to showcase their abilities in a community-driven ecosystem where they can earn rewards from their contributions and passion for gaming.

Codyfight revolutionized the concept of Play2Earn by providing users with the ability to create assets and code Ai bots to earn income passively. The goal is to become a space where different types of players can find opportunities whether they are developers, artists, or regular users driven by competition.

Codyfight’s game design responds to two main necessities: aesthetics and functionality.

Firstly, aesthetics are the main aspect of any visual media experience. There needs to be a conscious attempt to design an attractive and immersive interface for players.

Secondly, it responds to a functional necessity. Codyfight is a browser-based game with a friendly interface that still needs to address the requirements of both less skilled developers and highly skilled ones. In this sense, Codyfight contains an Application Programming Interface (API) for coding AI bots using any programming language that can connect to the internet. Players can access via public Game API to Codyfight servers to control their robots or use the browser and control their Codyfighters through their keyboards.

The interface

Codyfight’s interface is a dystopian user-friendly design based on a cold neon palette. Players’ on the Arena will distinguish their Operator and Codyfighter with blue tones and their opponent’s robot and control board will stand out in pink tones. The panels are accessible for all types of gamers, so they will always know the position of their robots and the actions they can take on the game.

The interface is made of 3 main elements:

  • Player panel (left) and opponent panel (right)

These panels show battling Codyfighters with their properties and the Operators that control them in battle.

  • Game progress bar (top)

The bar increases with every step the player and the opponent makes. In replay mode, progress bars can be scrolled back and forth to understand the movements of the robots.

The interface will be different on desktop and mobile devices. The Mobile version layout is vertical and avoids screen rotation, as well as it is redesigned according to phone sizing. However, mobile and desktop players will have the same gameplay experience and enjoy the same IU design.

The game creates a stylish and efficient interface where players can focus on the strategies they will take on the Arena and not on understanding how to manage a complex system to win against their opponent. Codyfight aims to make competitive gaming more profitable and immersive for everyone involved.

Three levels on the UI design

There are three levels inside the game:

  • First level: User

Every Codyfighter will have an account on the game. When players log in, they can decide what actions to take, whether they want to gain, create or buy different assets such as Codyfighters, operators, tickets, tokens etc.

  • Second level: Operator

The operator is a unique entity that takes the Codyfighter (robot) into battle. Operators get a rank that depends on their battle performance. For example, high ranking Operators can battle only other high ranking operators. Players can have as many operators as they want, as long as they have enough CTOKs to purchase them.

In addition, Operators also keep the game balanced and safe, as they prevent scams and tricks among players. They are not an NFT entity and cannot be sold, so players need to purchase them and have the complete ownership in-game.

  • Third level: Codyfighters

Codyfighters are an important part of the game experience. Codyfighters are NFT robots that are brought to battle by Operators. Codyfighters have their unique battle skills, different rarities, and other properties that define how they fight. Their NFT Skins can be tradeable inside and outside the game and once they are purchased, they will always belong to a player.

Operators match with skins and play in the Arena as an entity. Think of a pilot and his plane. While the operator is essentially the human that cannot be traded or sold, his plane can. But once he chooses to fly a certain plane, that plane cannot be used by any other pilot. And it needs the expertise and skills of the pilot to fly.

The dynamics of the IU and the Arena

The UI design of Codyfight is highly immersive and user-friendly. The goal is to present an efficient design, making it easy for players to control their robots and move around the Arena.

During the match, players have three options to win rewards: take the exit, catch Ryo or win against their enemy. There will be 10 rounds, and each round will have a time for each player to deploy their strategy whether it’s moving, attacking their opponent, or just choosing to stay in the same spot.

Each Codyfighter will have certain properties, some of them will have more endurance, others more energy, etc. Players will need to think smartly and use their properties efficiently against their opponent.

The robot’s energy will be a key aspect to defeating a player’s opponent, as they will have more chances to use special characteristics and move around the map tile, creating an unpredictable pattern for their enemy.

Once the game is over, users will be able to re-watch the match so they can learn the best ways to maximize their strategy in the Arena. Those who control AI bots can also have a glimpse of their robots’ gainings.

In summary

Codyfight’s design is user-friendly and an immersive experience for different types of players, so regardless of their skill level, they can all enjoy the competitive and non-competitive opportunities in the game’s ecosystem.

The game is divided into three levels: User, operator, and skin. Players can display different activities inside the game based on their abilities.

The Arena is a great place to showcase strategies and understand opponents. Players can rewind, rethink and study the Arena, as well as bond with other players in challenging and shifting map tiles where there is always something new to learn.
