As the name Codyfight implies, we have to pick a side in our little coding game, right? So are we fighting for justice? Or are we the ones sowing chaos here? Read more to find out!
In Codyfight, you will always play for the good side as a player. It doesn’t mean that you can’t make bad decisions within the game, but you are always the good guy at the end of the day. So let’s start from the beginning of our storyline, shall we?
The year is 4096. Humanity cannot live on Earth anymore due to rampant disasters, terrible climate change, and an uninhabitable world. So they build spaceships and fly to many different planets scattered throughout the universe. But they are still long to go back and live on our mother planet Earth in the end.
Little do they know that we still have living creatures on Earth. They are formerly animals, but they evolve and become intertwined with Artificial Intelligence. They become semi-mutants and cyborgs, which bear unique and powerful abilities.
People from the outer rims invent an advanced technology: They can transfer data, surpassing light-speed to the point of instantaneous real-time data sharing. Then, they start constructing robots on their planets, putting them into spaceships, sending them to Earth to control the mutants, and eventually rebuilding the Earth.
Our main antagonist is Mr. Ryo, and he’s a cunning Pigman. Ryo is the leader of the evolved animals. Seeing waves of strange robots coming to Earth, Ryo starts a riot and destroys the robots. But, of course, humans cannot watch the ransacking happen forever. So they plan to use the deployed robots against Ryo and his gang. And that’s precisely when you, the player, come in.
At this point, you have two options. Either you jump straight into the battlefield as one of the robots, directly control the robot actions, and ward off the rouge mutants. Or, you can build a fully automated and AI-controlled robot, pack it into a spaceship, and send it on a mission to Earth.
For once, humans and AI are on the same side.
