A successful month in the metaverse

While Ryo and his gang have been plotting revenge against Codyfight’s headquarters, our team has been evolving and expanding in different projects. We have been training hard and delivering the best content in the galaxy!

Let’s dive into the recent updates that our team has been working on:

Revamp of our website

One of the biggest collaborative projects of June has been the development of our new website. The different departments have coordinated in producing and implementing different content; creatives have been working on visuals with a focus on dynamism and aesthetics, marketing on copies with a focus on information and entertainment, and the development department on implementing and achieving an easy-to-navigate and friendly interface.

The project has come as a solution for users to enjoy an immersive experience on the website as well as an answer to their different needs as gamers, developers, and crypto enthusiasts.

In addition, our creative and development departments have been joining forces and upgrading our current landing page. The goal is to have a slow transition into the final version of the project and implement different elements slowly, so users can get a taste of what the future website will look like. Now you can enjoy our story trailer as well as our Medium articles on the website, so it will be easy to catch up with all the news in Codyfight.

Game Widget

Our developer team is focusing on making the game accessible, easy to use, and especially playable for all types of users.

The first step of the Widget project consisted of a re-work of the map generation, the keyboard, and the mouse control. This operation assured that the next generation of Widget would be easier to use as well as more interactive.

In addition, the malfunctioning parts of the Widget, for example, the viewport zooming and its limitations, along with some bugs, have been completely eradicated so players can now enjoy the game without any defects perturbing their experience.

In terms of aesthetics, the creative department helped developers to improve tiles as well as decorations. The revamp of visual elements also helps to enjoy the experience as well as increases the value of the game, sparking some curiosity among possible new users.

Our department is currently working on game UI functionality, so we will see a big change and positive results in the upcoming months.

MVP

One of the highlights of this month is the MVP for testers. Different developers will have the unique opportunity to try our game and provide feedback based on their experience.

The onboarding and preparations have been implemented during the past month, and we are happy to announce that we are already onboarding MVP testers and have running bots 24/7, warming up our servers.

During this process, the development team has been consistently working on providing the best experience for our exclusive players. One of the main focuses was improving the loading of the dynamic map as well as correctly rebuilding the system from balanced configurations. These corrections essentially affect the play experience for users including rules, leaderboard, recent games, and player assets. Therefore, the department has focused especially on this area to ensure the good functioning of the gameplay for testers.

Events & Community

Codyfight is a community-driven game and therefore focuses on the enjoyment of its players inside and outside the game. Our departments are in constant coordination to make visual and entertaining content for users to engage and participate in activities and minigames.

June has brought some initiatives like Skin Art Competition, where community members are encouraged to create their own take on Codyfighters. The winner does not only receive a reward but is also featured in the game. These types of events usually reward the community members with the chance to impact their gameplay experience by creating their features.

Another event has been the Named Codyfighter Tournament where different communities named Codyfighters battled against each other on social media, aspiring for a trophy and a reward for its supporters. This activity has granted users the power to vote for their favorite names and choose which one wins the rounds.

Lastly, there is a big event happening at the end of June. It is our first workshop where users will be encouraged to create their own stories based on the Codyfight universe and learn more about

Codyfight and the storyline behind the game. The groups will compete to feature their story in the game as well as for a reward.

Our team keeps creating engaging and interactive content through our different social media platforms. From wallpapers to articles, everybody can enjoy their favorite type of content on Codyfight.

We highly recommend you to follow us and stay updated on our events and other activities on social media where you can interact and participate!

Partnerships

The Codyfight family has expanded over the month. We have partnered with ArcadeLand, an all-in-one blockchain-optional gaming ecosystem that offers gamers and developers the opportunity to experience gaming in an open Metaverse world. This partnership will improve our partners and our journey in the metagame world and create new opportunities for gamers to expand in both universes.

In addition, we have collaborated with our partners Polychain Monsters, trusting their project and delivering activities for users. The Codyfight community had the chance to participate in their Whitelist and earn 30 whitelist spots in their project. And we are proud to say that it was a great alliance for our communities.

But the month of June is still not over! And in the final week we still have something big coming up, so keep an eye out for upcoming events.
