Welcome to the future of gaming!
This is the place where everyone can play a fun, immersive game, program their AI bots to match against other players (or their bots!), make important decisions about the game, and earn some moolah while doing all this.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves — let’s start from the top. The place we’re talking about is called Codyfight. What Codyfight brings to the table is a completely novel concept but which was born at the perfect time.
But what is Codyfight, exactly?
Codyfight is many cool things in one:
- a multiplayer, turn-based strategy programming game and immersive environment where tech-savvy enthusiasts can have fun and put their talents to good use,
- a metaverse where one-of-a-kind pre-programmed (ro)bots with custom NFT skins confront each other in engaging battles of their owners’ wits and logic,
- a platform where users can develop their own unique robots using any programming language, challenge others, earn cryptocurrency, and become the ultimate player-programer!
Problems of the gaming (and programming) crowd
This platform targets several problems that have been plaguing the gaming and programming communities for years and which, until now, have never been properly addressed. These problems included:
- Limited places for talented folks to create, express, have fun, and reap rewards,
- A shortage of available opportunities to contribute to games and earn from this contribution,
- The opportunity to earn a living from gaming is only accessible to the best players,
- Missing asset ownership and trade opportunities,
- A lack of places where AI can match against humans,
- A poor competitive environment for programmers,
- The existing games that revolve around coding are not addressing gamer needs.
Codyfight delivers an ideal solution
In an effort to solve this problem, the guys and gals from Codyfight came up with a unique concept — a browser turn-based Play2Earn (P2E) AI-coding game that includes non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Sounds complicated? It really isn’t, it’s just the best way to describe what doesn’t have a simple name (yet), without skipping any one of its equally important aspects.
Let’s take a look at each of these aspects in more detail.
Play2Earn
The platform takes the innovative and increasingly popular business concept, Play2Earn, to a whole new level. With it, it opens the floodgates of opportunities to self-express in numerous different ways.
It’s a simple concept — players take part in competitions and matches and are awarded in cryptocurrency for winning. On top of that, programmers and artists can use their talents to create, share their creations, and earn cryptocurrency from their endeavors.
Turn-based strategy
Codyfight provides a user-friendly interface and turn-based strategy with unique mechanics, leveraging AI to challenge players at their skill level. But the platform isn’t for programmers only — even players without coding knowledge will be able to play.
In the game, two robots (AI or human-controlled) navigate through a rectangle-shaped dynamic-sized map and collect points performing different actions. For example, catching Special Agent Mr, Ryo grants 15 points, while taking the exit gate gives you 5. The robot that gathers more points over 10 rounds, wins.
Map size and complexity grow over time, while Special Agents spawn and use their unique abilities to alter the playfield tiles, forcing the player to adapt.
AI vs. human
Players with experience in coding can program their own AI bots to play for them against other bots or humans. This way, the player-programmer can sit back, relax and receive passive income from won matches. On the other end, human players can take on the AI algorithm in a match and try to defeat it.
Owning multiple robots and NFT skins
All the bots will have their own NFT skins, created by certified artists with a guarantee of rarity and value, and sold as digital collectibles. All the skins are owned by a player and they can trade them outside the game. The skins can wear off with time or get demolished during matches. Users can repair them in the Robot Forge (the place where bots are built and repaired) for a price that depends on the damage.
Continuous competition in a balanced system
Codyfight’s blockchain-based AI vs. human metaverse will continuously deliver new challenges in the community-driver competition system and three matchmaking modes:
- Custom: friends vs. friends
- Random: against a random player
- Competitive Arena: rank-based matchmaking
Further metagame development will be dictated by the community and game developers.
Coding AI bots
The API for coding the AI bots using any programming language will be connected to the internet, allowing the control of your robots. Through Codyfight, you’ll be able to extend your robot’s functionalities with AI, computer vision, and machine learning.
Instead of sitting at the computer all day grinding for rewards, player-programmers can deploy smart AI bots to play autonomously, as well as sell or rent their robots to others. The buyers can purchase the source code or an already deployed and running unit.
Crypto rewards
The platform will continuously award participants with crypto tokens (CTOK) on the basis of their participation — competing and winning in the game arena, designing NFT skins, programming bots, or just casually playing the game. This means that even beginners can enjoy the game and reap rewards.
Community tournaments
Competitive gaming with Codyfight is more profitable for anyone involved than in traditional games. Specifically, players can host and observe tournaments where income is distributed throughout the entire Codyfight gamer community, organizers of tournaments for other players, spectators, as well as game publishers.
Scalable AI robot farms
The player-programmer isn’t limited to just one programmable AI robot — they can design as many as they like. These multiple robots will be part of the so-called robot farms owned by the player and can compete and earn rewards simultaneously.
Imagine Bitcoin mining with multiple computers — with Codyfight, one robot is like one separate computer, earning rewards for its owner alongside others.
The challenge awaits
Solving the ever-present problems plaguing the gaming and programming communities, Codyfight aims to create challenges and fun for talented people via immersive gameplay, balanced competition, a friendly community, and fair rewards.
One of the ways it achieves this is by introducing an entirely new kind of player: the player-programmer. This player-programmer develops AI bots, sends them off to fight and earn rewards in their stead, rents or sells them to others, builds robot farms to maximize rewards, and more.
In this rich ecosystem and friendly community, the player-programmer is joined by artists designing and selling NFT skins, non-programmer players hungry for new challenges, beginner players, and others. All of them can earn profit from their various activities on the platform.
